Fords Theater
Ford's Theatre is the location of the 1865 assassination of then President Abraham Lincoln.� The 19th-century theatre, restored in recent decades. features fine musical and dramatic theater. A renovated museum displays the story of President Lincoln's assassination with over 400 historic articles.�
Open: The theatre is open daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.--except for matinees, rehearsals, and Christmas. For information on tours, call the National Park Service at (202) 426-6924.
