The aquarium is located a block from the Washington Monument in the basement of the Department of Commerce Building, which is on 14th Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and Constitution Avenue NW.

Hours
- Open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last admission at 4:30 p.m.
- Daily animal feedings and aquarist talks at 2 p.m.
- Closed on Christmas and Thanksgiving.
